Parking

From 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays, UCSD visitors must purchase and display a parking permit or pay a parking meter. Parking is strongly enforced at UCSD, and vehicles not displaying proper permits risk a minimum $65 ticket.

Permits for the outdoor parking lots can be purchased from the Visitor Information kiosk on Gilman Drive, just before Osler Lane. There are small lots with visitor spots in front of the UCSD SSPPS Building facing the Medical Education and Telemedicine Building on Osler Lane, and also some behind the school near the Rita Atkinson Residence. Visitor permits are not valid in Lot P604 ("The Pit").

Further away, the Gilman Parking Structure is on the corner Villa La Jolla Drive and Gilman Drive. Parking permits for the Gilman Parking Structure are only valid if purchased inside the structure.
