Fellowship Programs

The UCSD School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is requesting funding support for a Research/Fellowship to develop research-training program in conjunction with the UCSD School of Medicine.

The first year of funding, beginning in July 1, 2010, will be the seed funding for a two-year fellow who will engage in pharmaceutical sciences research in drug discovery, drug development and clinical at UCSD and in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sciences industry.

The programs will result in an individual who will have developed skills in drug discovery, drug development and clinical care to enter a career in academia or the pharmaceutical industry in pharmaceutical development extending from drug discovery through clinical trials and to outcomes and post-marketing surveillance studies. The fellow will develop collaborative professional relationships with members of the health care system. This range of activity reflects the interests of our existing research and clinical care programs. These programs will be tailored based on the education and training background of the fellows.
