Serving our Community
As the only pharmacy school in San Diego, our faculty and students fill critical care gaps for vulnerable communities, including older adults and unhoused or uninsured individuals. Each year they provide more than 8,000 medications and immunizations and screen more than 4,000 patients for common health conditions.
Transforming Patient Care
Our clinical faculty advance patient care globally, nationally and locally by helping shape medication policies in partnership with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, World Health Organization and other institutions. They also care for thousands of patients each year through pharmacy-led clinics across San Diego County, including at UC San Diego Health.

Our faculty are global and national leaders in their fields and talented educators – collectively holding twelve of most prestigious awards for scientists in the world and dozens of teaching awards. Together they leverage cutting-edge scientific tools such as artificial intelligence to discover new medicines and advance the practice of pharmacy.
