Keri Hurley, PharmD, MPH, is a health sciences associate clinical professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist and California advanced pharmacist practitioner with clinical expertise in immunizations, infectious disease and chronic disease management. Her research focuses on leveraging real-world evidence to address health disparities and improve public health outcomes, with a particular emphasis on vaccine equity and effectiveness using the National Institutes of Health (NIH) All of Us database. Hurley also serves as the board president of the Immunization Coalition of Los Angeles County, an organization dedicated to improving vaccine confidence and access across the lifespan for residents of Los Angeles County.

During the ceremony students recite the Oath of a Pharmacist, affirming their dedication to the principles and responsibilities of the profession.
- What is the dress code?

Students should wear attire that reflects how they want to show up in the world in a professional setting. They will be provided with their white coats during the ceremony. Please consider that a white coat will be placed over attire during the ceremony.
- How many guests are allowed to attend?

Due to space limitations, two guests per student may be present in the venue. A livestream link is available in advance to allow additional guests to join the event virtually and cheer their students on.
- Is parking available near the venue?

Visitor parking is available in the South Parking Structure and the Gilman Parking Structure. Please note that parking may be limited and requires payment except in designated handicapped spaces for those with Disabled Person parking placards or plates. To pay for parking, you can use the ParkMobile app or self-service kiosks in the parking structures. Guests can also use a variety of public transit options, including the bus, Blue Line Trolley (nearest stops are the VA Medical Center Station and UCSD Central Campus Station), and the COASTER Train.

The White Coat Ceremony will feature:
- Welcome speeches from Dean Brookie Best, Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences John M. Carethers, and Associate Dean of Admissions and Recruitment Rabia Atayee.
- A welcome address from our Honored Guest Speaker, Dr. Keri Hurley, and the 2026-2027 Association of Student Pharmacists President, Justin Oberholtz (Class of 2028).
- Individual presentation of white coats to students, led by Associate Dean of Student Affairs Candis Morello, with a photo taken alongside Dean Best.
- A collective recitation of the Oath of a Pharmacist by students, PharmD faculty, and attending pharmacists.
- Closing remarks by Dean Best.
- A professional group photo of the students in their white coats on the school lawn.
- A small reception with additional photo opportunities.
