On April 11, 2023, the Pan-Asian Staff Association, along with the Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Human Resources, hosted a community luncheon. SSPPS Faculty and Staff had the opportunity to attend this event which was a lovely opportunity to connect with UC San Diego staff from all departments while also enjoying a Filipino buffet. Vice Chancellor Becky R. Petitt and Chief HR Officer Terri Winbush were in attendance. VC Petitt was proud to announce that UC San Diego was an AANAPISI, an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving-Institution, that would continue to strengthen the student experience for Asian American and Pacific Islander students. A lovely shout-out was also given to the Chef for the delicious Filipino buffet. The luncheon wrapped up with a fun raffle that was presented by PASA Members Margaret Rattanachane, Chelsea Largoza, and Jocelyn Pacheco.
