Many of our Pharmacy students participate in Health Science Organizations to further their academic experience and future endeavors.
Our Association of Student Pharmacists are committed leaders, whose goal is “to serve as the bridge between pharmacy organizations, students, and faculty. Our purpose is in the development, promotion, and enhancement of the knowledge of pharmacy in the community, all in harmony with the educational interests of SSPPS. We organize and host a variety of school-wide professional and social events as well as conduct annual community outreach events to promote the field of pharmacy.”

LGBTQ-PhaM brings together students from the School of Pharmacy and School of Medicine to promote awareness about the issues and barriers faced by the LGBTQ community in relation to healthcare. Queer or not, students make a promise to advocate for LGBTQ patients and foster an environment of inclusion and celebration.
Students from LGBTQ-PhaM participate in the annual Socal LGBT Health Conference, a student-run health conference that promotes awareness of LGBTQ issues in healthcare and beyond.
