The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee advances diversity through the implementation of equitable and inclusive practices, including the recruitment and retention of underrepresented faculty, staff and students. The committee supports faculty, staff and students in the crafting and dissemination of strategies that provide and inclusive climate, embrace diversity and promote a culture of accountability with respect for all. Finally, the EDI Committee partners with campus, professional and community organizations to promote, improve and sustain excellence in EDI practices.
Several individuals from UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences participated in the Health and Health Sciences Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Summit to discuss how to continue to strive for inclusive excellence and diversity on our campus!
Pharmacists have an incredible platform to represent diverse communities including underrepresented minorities. Our School of Pharmacy promotes campus and community involvement through UC San Diego’s multiple student body organizations and outreach programs.
