Campus Community Centers at UC San Diego are accessible to all students. Some of the community centers that unify our UC San Diego students include: Cross Cultural Community Center, LGBTQ Resource Center, Women's Center, and Black Resource Center.
As a leading academic institution, UC San Diego is also committed to academic and social inclusiveness and has recently launched its Latinx/Chicanx Academic Excellence Initiative. UC San Diego Chancellor Khosla stated “Imagine a multi-ethnic, multicultural, multilingual community, all together at UC San Diego learning from each other, challenging each other about what the world’s going to look like. The Latinx/Chicanx Academic Excellence Initiative brings us closer to defining this vision for our university.”
The creative space of the Black Resource Center (BRC) gives Undergraduate and Graduate students who identify as African American or Black, support in culturally rich campus events and mentoring. This assists students while transitioning into programs at UC San Diego.
